Private Lessons

Weekly private lessons are offered for students ages five through adult, beginner through advanced levels. Curriculum is tailored to students' individual learning needs and musical goals/interests. The studio provides a warm, supportive environment for musical learning.

Lessons serve to build a solid foundation in reading, technique,  music fundamentals, creativity, musical expression and artistry. These skills will enable students to enjoy piano as a lifelong hobby or, if they choose to do so, to pursue music as a career. Students will learn how to communicate through the beauty and language of music, to practice more efficiently at home, and to become confident, independent learners.  

​Studio Classes

Studio classes are informal gatherings held periodically throughout the year for enrolled students. Here, students enjoy time with their piano peers by performing for each other, and by interacting through various musical games and other fun activities related to music history and theory.

Performance Opportunities

Performance opportunities allow students to share their musical gifts with friends and family, as well as further develop their artistic and communicative abilities at the piano. Plenty of non-competitive events (recitals, festivals, and more) are available to enrolled students throughout the academic year, both through the studio and through local music organizations such as Athens Music Teachers Association, Georgia Music Teachers Association, and National Federation of Music Clubs.

Auditions and Competitions

Some students who are motivated and ready may have the opportunity to participate in adjudicated events sponsored by professional music organizations. At these events, students perform and are evaluated, earning individual ratings and awards. Certain qualified students may also earn the opportunity to participate in competitions at the local, state, and regional levels.
